April 9, 2000 I haven't seen any movies lately. Well, except for when TNT played "Devil's Advocate" That's a messed up movie!!
April 23,2000 I still haven't been to the movies lately. My life has been a whirlwind lately. I watched "The Game" on TBS (I think) today. I had seen it before, so it wasn't quite as exciting as the first time since I knew what was going to happen. Movies are almost always the best the first time around. Although, I did catch "The Matrix" playing on HBO in our hotel room in FLorence, SC. I didn't understand it the first time around. But watching it a second time, that movie really makes you wonder.
May 8,2000 STILL haven't watched any movies!! Maybe I should retitle this page "Movies that I would eventually like to see" Then I'd have a list!!
May 29,2000 Jim and I rented some movies last weekend..."Three Kings" with George Clooney and Mark Wahlberg. Was not impressed by this movie at all. I cant really explain why, just ever watched a movie and been like, yuck?? Yeah, thats how that one felt. Then we also rented "The Fight Club" with Brad Pitt. Now that movie was awesome. I thought the movie was going to be lame, a bunch of guys fight eachother, nope, that was just the beginning. Wow, I really enjoyed that movie alot. Funny thing was, at Blockbuster, I was the one who wanted to rent "Three Kings" and had no interest in seeing "The Fight Club"
Maybe I should listen to my husband more....nah!!!
July 13,2000 Jim took me to the movies this past Sunday to see "The Patriot" with Mel Gibson, it was nice to actually go out with my husband. The movie was ok, nothing that I would consider totally amazing or anything. I think I liked "Braveheart" better. Lately we have also rented:
"American Beauty"--Really messed up movie, enjoyed it
"Legend of Sleepy Hollow"--I liked the cinemaphotography(spelled that one wrong)and special effects, wouldn't see it again
"The Green Mile"--Shawshank Redemption was MUCH better. This movie actually bothered me. I don't think this is a good movie for the squmish at heart. Just some disturbing images I can't shake. Glad to have seen it, won't see it again
"Bicentennial Man"--cute movie, long movie. The Pepsi Girl is in it. That was cool
"The Sixth Sense"--thanks to some friends, this movie SUCKED!! I knew "the secret" about Bruce through out the majority of the movie thanks to someones big mouth. I think that had I not known the big secret, I would have enjoyed it alot more.
TV Shows: March 23,2000 I have been watching re-runs of 3rd Rock From the Sun and Drew Carey.
I also like Dateline and 3rd Watch when I get the chance.
April 9,2000 Haven't been watching that much TV either. Seems like I am always on the computer messing with this. I did catch the MTV Road Rules/Real World thingie. Not impressed. Maybe this is why I stick to FoxTv re-runs. OH!! Caught Megadeth on VH1 Rock Show. Dave just kicks so much butt!!
April 23,2000 I am still watching Drew Carey re-runs. I haven't actually caught a "new" episode in a long time. I read in USA Today that Drew and Kate are finally gonna do IT sometime in May. Can't believe that made it into a national newspaper.
April 26,2000 Ok, I've been off work for awile, recoping from the emotional overload, I have been watching way too much of MTV. first let me say that MTV does not impress me at all. I think in the 4 hours that I was flipping back and forth, I might have seen 5 videos, none worth watching. Can I get an AMEN!! The high points of the MTV watching session has to be the "Making the Video" YEAH, Kid Rock has a new one, "American Badass". It totally lives up to all my expectations of him. Porno women, Harleys. So does this mean he has a new album?? I hate to sound silly, but here it goes---KID ROCK ROCKS!!! Now then I also caught "Making the Video" for Eminem (garsh, is that how u spell that?)How about Slim Shady. I can't say that I am a fan of him, but his new song is cool. I really enjoy the words. And I hate to admit it but....he looks pretty hot (sizzle,sizzle) in that video. Of course I'll never purchase the CD. But that's another story.
May 8,2000 Once again I was sucked into watching Mtv again...this time it was the "Real World Reunion Two" or whatever it was called. I just have this thing for update shows. Just to see what these people look like now. It was certainly not the most exciting thing I have ever watched.
May 29,2000 Been watching ALOT of hockey lately!!! My fave teams (NY Rangers and FL Panthers) didn't do very well this year :( However, my husbands fave team (PHIL Flyers) were kicking some major butt until they decided to put Eric Lindro (aka. Dumb Bubba) back into the line-up!! So now I don't know who I want to win...Jim and I kinda want the Devils to win, ONLY because the East hasn't had the Cup in awhile and it's about time!!!
July 13,2000 Now that hockey season is over, I have no reason to watch TV. I have been spending most of my time sewing or reading. Hmm..still watching Drew Carey. Tried to get into the new phenomenom that is sweeping the world called "Survivor" I just don't get it. I saw it for the first time yesterday. I don't think that I will mark my calender for next Wednesday anytime soon, sorry. Last night Jim and I watched the VH1 movie "out of Sync" How G-rated. Always a happy ending, sob, sob, sniffle. So after that, we flipped over to E! and watched Howard Stern paint chick's boobs green. What an eventful evening...*sigh*
